This is a huge piece of Labradorite with a 42mm diameter. It also has some of the very best flash I've seen in my entire career, it's gorgeous. This is part of that big sale I had in June. I'm just finally finishing it up this week and the last pieces should ship on Friday.
Labradorite wrapped in 20 gauge, round and 21 gauge twisted Argentium Sterling Silver wire.
Labradorite is a feldspar mineral which occurs in large crystal masses in anorthosite rock and shows a beautiful array of colors. These colors are shown in a chatoyant way, an optical phenomenon in which the hue of the stone changes color or flash according to the angle from which the surface is viewed. Labradorite comes in all sorts of shades and colors; most common are blues, greens, golds, and oranges.
ARGENTIUM® Sterling Silver is the highest quality of Sterling Silver available today and is highly tarnish resistant. Sterling Silver is 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper. Argentium is actually 93.5% silver with the remaining 6.5% a mixture of Copper and the element Germanium which gives it a higher tarnish resistance and less people are allergic to it than normal Sterling Silver.

Wow, what lovely blues. This is the kind of stuff people look for in labradorites, and to get it all to show like that at once...
The curls at the top definitely gives it an ocean sort of feel to it. I like how the side wires don't really interfere with the color display on the stone. Nice work!

Thanks! I was so shocked when the piece arrived and it looked exactly like the picture, it was a lovely surprise but I did pay a very pretty penny for this one. Thanks again for the compliments

No problem, it's a beautiful piece! I usually am reluctant to buy some labs online because I worry about flash quality. I placed an order for one online a few days ago, and I too have paid a bit more than usual for it. I just hope that it will be worth it.
