Personality:
Paige is a bit defensive when one first meets her. She's often closed-off and unfriendly, and tends to brandish her writing utensil at others if they pester her too much. She likes to be alone, and is somewhat of a grump. Although her main talent is writing literature, she is quite the strong mare and will act as a 'guard' of sorts for the town sometimes. If some wild manticore or angry bear appears, she'll be there to keep 'em at bay. She's very fighting-oriented and loves to get involved in brawls. She's often in the woods, finding inspiration for her stories based on what she herself does and what she sees. Paige is somewhat secretive. She can also be rather blunt and sarcastic, and downright rude as well. Still, she's got a good heart, and will be loyal to those she does trust.

History:
The blue-maned mare was born in Vanhoover, to parents Lily Button and Duststorm. Paige never liked the big-city feel of it, and she moved away as soon as she was old enough. She had no siblings, but owned a childhood pet--a snake. She was always the tough kid, and had a tendency to show off when she was a foal. Despite her place in a large city, she never had that many friends. Her parents were distant, and her father was harsh and strict to the point where he even hit Paige when he was in a rage. Her mother, on the other hoof, was a weak mare who succumbed to illness soon after Paige's birth. This contributed to Duststorm's mental state. Paige in turn became a bully at school.

Her father mellowed over time, but they never had a great connection. When Paige left school she was disliked and lonely, often spending hours wandering the city, wishing for trees and dirt instead of paved paths and buildings. Before she was eighteen she ran off from home and traveled the country for a few years. She was a teenager and she still had no cutie mark at this time. As she moved across Equestria, she began to take notes of her journey, for she'd always enjoyed documenting things. This turned into her first story when she had to battle through a bad winter on her own, leading to her cutie mark's appearance.

Eventually she found her way to Neighberry, and decided to settle down for a bit in a small house out in the country, where she'd always wanted to live. She makes her living now as a writer, though since she hasn't gotten any great sales she often does odd jobs around to earn a few extra bits.

Paige is rather big for a mare and has smaller than average wings, making her a weak flier.
She has Earth Pony genes on her father's side.
