I work at a petstore fishes can last for up to an hour in a bag but 15-30mins being the preferred time we bag them like this all the time for customers and they are fine. IF you think this is cruel then you should see how they get delivered in bulk to shops 10-30 of them in one bag...

i think its really cute! and it reminds me of one of my childhood photos. my grandfather won me a fish in a bag like this one and there is a picture of me peering into the bag.

why is everyone fussing about the fish being in a baggie the same size and style as one would be _When you Buy the animal at the pet store_? I assume that the photographer is wise enough and grown enough to put the fish in the appropriate living conditions and not just plop him on the counter like that. seriously people why does everyone assume everyone else is out to harm everything in a photo? no one is complaining about the woman potentially getting salmonella or some other virus from the fish contaminated water?

I like how intent her gaze is and how the smooth bag /fish is contrasted by the slightly windblown hair. the colors pop on this one too. its a well done photo.

Hell yeah! He was a white goldfish with orange on his upper lip and top fin. Looked like he had a mohawk and a Hitler-esque mustache. He was my radass little rock star, hehe!
