Traveling in the mountains can be an adventure to those who who really love to observe nature. What we see as nature is all around us. Occasionally, there might be an airplane, or maybe one can still hear the highway, but most of the noises are that of nature.The wind is obvious, blowing through the trees. Then there is that of birds. Sometimes there will be other native creatures. This is their home. For that day in time, that part of the world is also your home.
Near this place, I found a rock outcropping, where there were hundreds of obsidian chips on the ground. Signs of the ancient natives, as they worked on their arrowheads and knives. I stayed the night in that location, thinking of those people as I viewed their world.
Just as the Coyote, Bobcat, bear and hawk are natives. We are also native to this world.
Treat it wisely and with care.

Camping is FUN. Winter camping can be interesting.

I know a couple, who have been camping this past week, here in Northern California.
One night they even have two granddaughters stay over night with them.
The have the setup for camping in the cold and staying warm.
They have a very large fire pit, BTW..

I think these people are used to cold camping.
During the summer, they take their cattle to the high country,
where it freezes at night.
I had that same storm, here.
IF we get enough rain like that,
we might get out of the drought!
