Whoa, my mind is actually blown!Β The concept portrayed is endearing, the colors are gorgeous, and the visual guiding is smooth and satisfying. This is stellar work (somewhat literally)!

Past Child Abuse Isn't All You AreΒ Β You aren't what happened to you. In order to be a survivor, you must realize that. There are things that have happened that did not involve child abuse. Good things have happened to you, with you, and because of you. You are not broken or damaged or even irreparable. You may feel you should stay sheltered and not take chances, but that keeps you in the mindset of a victim. You don't have to be afraid to step out into the world or ashamed of what happened to you. It wasn't your fault and you can draw strength from that alone.
Β Β This is the first of four posts I'll make in April for Child Abuse Prevention Month. They will feature art related to child abuse and neglect, depression and anxiety, but also hope and joy, as well. We are so much more than what we are told and how we are treated. It can be a long road to realizing that, but it's the truth. I hope anyone who reads these can draw strength and inspiration from that.

I love this painting so much that I decided to use it for a school project: NHD (National History Day). I was building a website to prove my thesis that computers are amazing. I love the way the mixture of clouds and stars make you think day and night sky but the position of it and the ripples give off a feeling of water which really goes to represent the whole "world" idea at a singular point. But even the main point, how the colors blend into the child's environment, creating that environment, shows that the world is a lot more colorful then you perceive or because of that perception. It's just so inspiring how much each little thing in so many of Yuumei's artworks are so important and communicates so much.

My mom passed away almost 4 years ago...she loved to draw and I loved to sing...after she passed away I started drawing to feel connected to her again....so seeing this really moved me.
