Joi used to be a normal demon (Empire) and Fay an aprentice angel, however by some problems in heavens, Empire comes back as a new form and calls himself Joi, he tries to come back to hell however everyone rejects him claiming that he's not a demon but something else. Fay becomes into a fallen angel, she's innocent and thinks humans not mattering their kind of sins, they deserve to be beloved and can change to the correct path.

Joi had some problems in Heaven, and got some new habilities also, one of them is too see the sins of everyone and himself. Which is awful and nothing pleasent, it's terrible to go to the supermarker only to find that one of the two people shopping calmly are killers, abusers, molestors, etc. Joi feels they don't deserve to live, so he ends killing them and hunting, even if he doesn't want to or feels tired, his anger emotions keep his body keep alive the massacre, the only one who can stop him is Fay who has a problem to believe that people is good and tries to change the behavoir of these awful monsters in human skin only to end beaten, sold, abused and abducted, and end being saved by the same person: Joi

Joi suffers of nightmares and paranoia, luckly and ironic finds some peace at protecting Fay, the only way to not get loose in his emotions, sadly thanks to this hability to see the sins, he can't rely or considere the human to be a specie worthy to protect.

About dressing Joi can wear something you can find in Hot topic and Fay is a lot more practical, she just wears anything that can cover her arms and torse and can let her run freely.
