Ok, lol, just kidding. First I just painted the upper part with dark gray and the lower with a colour similar to sand. Afterwards I simply picked 2-3 different shades of blue and added randomly until it looked a bit like some sort of fog, using the Air Brush ( Paint Tool SAI ). I then duplicated the layer with blue and tried all blending options until I found one that I liked. The light... or whatever they are are I made by using the Air Brush on another layer with different sizes. I switched a few times between Photoshop and SAI, since the blending options are different between the two, until I got the colours that I wanted. And that's all.

Besides, it's not an actual background. When I drew Nothing Else Matters and My Destruction I knew exactly what I wanted cause those were true backgrounds. ^^

Don't worry about the anatomy. Use references of photo's -of underwear models or something, lol. References will make you improve the fastest and best way in my opinion!
I think you did create a very nice atmosphere with the background painting and the overal colour balance over Grimmjow.

Neah I'd rather not, I saw even some known artists here on dA being accused of tracing or stealing cause they used references from male models, so neah, I'd rather draw it wrong until I learn how to draw it right. And even if I find a pose I like I still try to change it as much as possible.
The background was supposed to be Hueco Mundo, lol... but then I thought... why not a dreamy atmosphere? It's like a fangirl's vision.

No, tracing is something different than using references. You can take a pose, no problem at all. You can't learn to do it right without looking at the real thing, correct?
