which nationality would make more sense, American or Japanese? American guns and a Japanese Katana. regardless, very World War 2 -esque... well, as far as weapons go.

it was supposed to be just the rifle, FRICK! I really got carried away with this. I just wanted a reloading scene as a follow up, it that too much to ask for?

the reason I ask the question has less to do with the guns themselves as much as it does era. back in the 1940's America and Japan were at each other's throats.
those as far as this goes, I may be American but General Yamamoto, who led the bombing of Pearl Harbor, is like a Naval hero on the wrong side to me. alignment aside (we all did some pretty bad things back then), Yamamoto knew about American neutrality but he couldn't ignore the word of his higher ups.

oh of my favorite quotes from the era. not because he was more or less right but because of the morality.

of course I love Japanese culture but that question is simmering on my mind when I render Vio like this. sadly, there aren't a lot of guns from Japan to fill the niche that the M1 Garand does in modern civilian shooting hobbies. though I could grab a Type 99 Arisaka rifle. it's bolt action not semi auto like the M1

and yes, that's how you load an M1. with that enbloc through the top. the clip will eject as the last case ejects when firing, giving the gun a signature ring

but you know what weapon Japan makes that America totally passed on? swords
we did have a few but this country wasn't around in an era that was very supportive of swords. we had cavalry swords but unless you're moving full speed on horse back, they're pretty useless. but Katanas are f*cking beautiful
