I was thiiis close to submitting Wossy as a Bard class for 's Royal Roster , but wasn't quiiite feeling it and went with the Valkyrie garb instead. Wossy needs her stompers for frolicking, not some fancy schmancy high heels!Β Β Still, I liked the idea of a musically-challenged Wossy attempting to huff and puff youtu.be/t0I1-seBZag?t=21s for her comrades, whether they like it or not! So, here's Wossy's brief career as a Bard.Aeria is, of course, a grumpy mage who thinks spending all day reading about spells is a valid substitute for actually practicing them to avoid backfires. As you can imagine, she's not particularly keen on the whole adventuring/dragon slaying/princess protecting malarky, so she's gonna sit this one out.
Kinda goofed the super-deformed-mode, their heads shrink as the strip goes on... whoops!
Also, apologies for the lack of activity lately. As advised in my journal , something I'm incredibly proud of is on the way... I just need a little more time!

While Wossy's personality is closest to the stereotypical bard, I'm doubtful about her musical talents. I can personally only ever really see Wos as one of those stereotypical dumb meathead classes. Ie fighter, barbarian, etc.

There is a spell that places theΒ target in the same bondage as a Sub until the Sub is released, or for 24 hours, whichever comes first. If Wossy used that as an auto-defence spell against being the target of bondage spells herself...

I don't know why but I like these kind of little comic strip things... or whatever people call them haha. It might not be as detailed as other pictures you do but with these it seems like you can get away with a few more things.Β
Also who wouldn't want to come across a wrapped Aer and Wossy. They would make a nice reward for completing a quest haha. (gotta love the shiny wrappings. They look so shiny and smooth....why must you make them look so good haha.)

Yep, I really enjoy doing these rougher doodles. I still suffer from the curse of making sketches that I love, and then somehow sucking all of the life out of them during the inking or shading stage, so with these strips I'm able to get across the expressions and poses that I initially imagined, and it's really quite satisfying.
On the other hand, I'm not 100% happy with the shine - it looks good in panel 2, but the final parts still need some work.

I had almost considered having the flute be wrapped to her mouth, so once she was completely mummified she'd still be tootin' away (albeit only capable of a single note..), but figured it went against what Aer was trying to do in the first place! Then again, maybe that'd have been funnier? Ah well!
