I remember that! That was from the Cold Open of "Things Change", the very first episode of the 2003 show. Love that show!

2003 TMNT is underrated. My unpopular opinion is that the 2003 theme song is much better than the 80's theme song.
That quote's actually from the first issue of the original comic that show borrowed from. I like the dialogue from that comic 'cause it's such a fun pastiche of gritty 80's comics, but it also kinda works in a weird way.

I like how you made them all look different, seems like most artists just make their masks a different color and call it a day. And their body types actually convey their personality

I guess it doesn't make much sense having them being so many species if they were someone's pet turtles, but it still seems like more fun in terms of design.

It impresses me that you've given Leo the most battle ready posing, assuring me that he is more "ninja" than any of the turtles. I appreciate that you understand the characters and use that to nurture them in your brilliant revamps. The sheaths on his belt (as opposed to criss-crossed on his back) is a breath of relief, although I'd have to see it to believe it. Excellent work.

I love the turtles, but, the designs always left me cold. Mostly because they didn't seem too turtle-like. I think it's because the beaks never seemed 'beaky'.
This is a great example of how to do a true antro. Nice work, man.

I like the fact that it looks more like a real turtle, but still looking heroic and friendly, Unlike your version of Slash which is, uh, "not friendly" and would scare children if the ninja turtles themselves looked like him

Thank you much man. I've mentioned on here a couple of times already that I really wanted to bring it back to them actually being turtles. It seems like most of the versions I've seen lately are barely turtlish at all. Some of them barely even have a shell.
For now these will be it for the redesigns. I wouldn't mind eventually doing Metalhead, Manta Ray, and Ace Duck sometime, but for now I'm getting a little burned out on them.
