Inspired by the excellent monochrome paintings by and allllll the Uchiha feels in the fandom sobs.

The title 'surrender' is a little bit too strong (I chose this title partially because of the song linked below), but Uchiha Shisui and Itachi both 'surrendered' - to what they perceived to be a greater good. Sasuke is a less prominent example, but he gave his soul for what was his sole purpose of living. In a way, they all gave their happiness away?

First time drawing Shisui, and I am intrigued by the physical differences between buddies Itachi and Shisui . Itachi has this almost graceful, ethereal beauty about him (I will NEVER get tired of drawing his fabulous hair), and Shisui, from what I see in the manga, has more of a mixed look - he's got those beautiful eyes, but is slightly chubby elsewhere, especially the nose and cheeks? Cute.

Oh, and listen to this song. [link] Songs like these always make me think of the Uchiha XD. Well in this case the lyrics doesn't really suit, but the sad and dark undertones of the lyrics, plus the atmosphere of the song fits the clan like a glove. And the way the vocalist sings is almost like a mumble; a sigh of things gone wrong.

uwah so stylistic, this piece Β I like how the red serves to emphasize darkness' evil. Β Uhm as for a criticism I'd say the way you draw their heads and faces are strong, but their bodies lack.... confidence? Β I dunno how to put it. Β But I like the creativity in this. Β ^.^

Yes, yes all three of them did surrender their souls for their beliefs - they're all connected. There's such a sadness in Itachi, yet more of a resignation in Shisui, and a bit of both in Sasuke. So many feels, as always. Well done!

Oh wow I'm always so flattered when someone's inspired by something I did.

I want to write a critique, but I don't have a lot of time these days because of uni. Still I'd like to say that I love their faces. Sasuke again with the corners of his mouth pulled down as much as he possibly could (it's characteristic for the way you draw him). Shisui's eye looks awesome, and by the way I liked very much that you also noticed his nose. It's strange because his nose looks kind of bulbous in the manga while his eyes are so graceful, still it's a good combination. And Itachi, he looks beautiful how you drew him. I like how his hair is all messy.

What is happening in the upper panel? It looks like something is actually pulled out of Sasuke's head.

I'm not sure if I like the red, just because I think it would have been enough to have the bones act just by their shape (I can't express this in English). The red distracts me from the beautiful way the clouds lead the eyes over the whole work. But it's just the way I always draw, either monochomatic or in full color - maybe it's just a personal preference.

Very nice to see something new from you! Really, it's the first time you drew Shisui? Draw more Shisui! It looks great!

I've never realised that was the way I draw Sasuke! XD Shisui is cute, period. And yush Itachi - god I love the man's hair, and everything about his face, really.

Yep, something is pulled out of Sasuke's head - you can say it's blood vessels, or just a part of Sasuke. The pulling of something out of Sasuke signifies the soul/ a part of him that he surrendered to the achievement of his goals. The word 'let it take over, let it take over' portrays just that.

Also, the word 'into corrosive water' is related to Shisui, and 'of light, goodbye' is related to Itachi.

That's fine! I think it's great that you have voiced out your thoughts on the red - it gives me more perspective on how I should approach painting. I did think the red may overwhelm the picture, but during painting I did not want to tone down both the red and the clouds XD

I am planning to draw more Shisui! He's fun to draw. So different from the Uchiha brothers, with their refined features and all (particularly Itachi).

I also thought that it was Obito, especially with the two sides of his face... *g* I think you should have made his hair more curly in order to emphasize that - I know, it's already pretty curly, but one could still see the normal spiky hair in that.

Some further clarification just came to my mind: I think he should have more hair falling on his forehead, "bangs" if that's the right word. That would add "Shisui"-ism and take away from "Obito"-ism. xD

If I asked you -pretty please- would you consider editing the picture a little bit...? And change Shisui's hair?

Japanese music, mainly. I listen to classical and instrumental music too

I like way too many bands and artists; Mr.Children, Spitz, Onitsuka Chihiro, Cocco, Kokia, Dir en grey, R.E.M. are among the few. I like OSTs when it comes to instrumentals - favourites are Naruto Shippuden OST, Monster OST, loads of Evangelion OSTs
