I love the effect of the cross filter (I have a 4-point and an 8-point, and I use them all the time)! And there's no better subject for a cross filter than a lit Christmas tree. Very nice exposure, color balance, and composition. A DD well deserved!

how did you get the lighting to come out that way? i always get well ballenced photos but the candles or christmas light never sparkle like that.

I just used star/cross filter
My filter is very cheap, and the cost was about $5 xDDD
You can easily get sparkle photos with this filter
