POKEMON THAT GOT SOMETHING SPECIAL BEHIND IT

know that I had to split it into two parts already on my computer.... <,<
...and soon I will do same for the submission, because how you imagine uploading such high resolution pic??

Alolan Marowak:

I've never been into it's a dinosaur. Short tail, short legs, low base speed and high defence- all these speak
a triassic reptile to me, by this I mean all those slower ones before dinosaur and pterosaur ancestors came to existence
with their special hip and leg build allowing them to run fast. I mention a generalized thing of course, for those
who don't know what reptiles were right before the dinosaur era.

My Marowak concept couldn't get real untill one intriguing discovery that happened not so long ago-

which is an archosauromorph, a reptile related closely to dinosaur ancestors, but not being a dinosaur.

A CONVERGENT EVOLUTION!
Triopticus got a thick skull like famous Pachycephalosaurus.....which is awesome to me

unfortunately, we don't know more, buuut....that's enough for me to give my Marowak this inspiration and so placement on species evolution tree.
I always seen it living before dinosaurs, where dry and hot climate was dominant on the planet.

-the arms are like those of chameleon...again, triassic reptile. Some of reptiles from triassic perios were so unique and seemed like "experiments" of evolution.
Examples? Sharovipteryx, Tanystropheus, Drepanosaurus

Mimikyu:

This concept is still not fully nailed in my head....I can only tell I see it as a plush infected by fungus related to Morelull.
The same idea goes for my view of Banette. Both contain dangerous to human spores which the release in the danger (Banette through its mouth,
Mimikyu from underneath its body)
Arms and black part of its body are fungal hyphae.
However, I'm thinking if the WHOLE Mimikyu isn't a fungus, which just gathered cloth fragments in attept to mimic Pikachu plush.

The tail is made of tree trunk fragments kept together by fungal hyphae, it's not a weird, twisted branch that perfectly fits Pikachu's tail shape in coincidence.

WOW DID I JUST MADE REALISTIC GUZZLORD CONCEPT?
IN LIKE 4 HOURS AFTER I TALKED WITH A FRIEND?

All right, before Y'ALL THROW QUESTIONS AT ME,
know I must sit and think about the whole idea, but these are facts I can tell so far:

-the main idea/body: Gulper eel and fish tongue eating parasite isopod

-while thinking about the parastitic isopod, I thought I'll make far-fetched, but perfect animal base in apperance for those mouths:
OUR REAL ALIEN, OPABINIA.
BETTER LOOK IT UP~

-sea urchin attached to the tailtip, eating....Guzzlord's poop--> THIS is because of the entry:

"A dangerous Ultra Beast, it appears to be eating constantly, but for some reason its droppings have never been found"

My answer? It rarely does even leave any poop, even on the land- and when it does, the sea urchin eats it to take toxins into its own body and smell bad too....just to be sure it won't get eaten

-bobbit worms are Guzzlord "arms"

and last, but not least....Guzzlord legs are in fact modified fish fins, same as in batfish...

OVERALL DIFFERENT LIFE FORMS COUNT IN MY GUZZLORD: 5

PS: the small head on top of Guzzlord is nothing but a head-like overgrowth like a batfish has a "horn"....or whatever, NATURE!
There are caterpillars with fake eyes and even fake heads (like the one with fake snake head), so I was just inspired by nature

TRIVIA!
Ultra Beasts in french are called...pretty much Ultra chimeras!

I AM INSANE RIGHT?!

...But I'm serious about sketching these, even if the final effect will be "meh".
Personally I'm salty about all Pokemon scaled down in Sun and Moon, but after one of my friends told me
why this (because Pokemon Sun and Moon pushes 3DS to its limits and big Pokemon models on the battlefield
cause game to lag)... I can pass.

However, the first impression of Pokemon sizes cofused me, especiailly Dhelmise, Incineroar and Kommo-o
Plus totem Pokemno being much bigger than standard Pokemon ( example? DAT MIMIKKYU MAN! D: )

That's why I decided to sketch these sizes references, just for myself, that's why the quality might be average
to you.

DEAL WITH IT. I'm not sorry. Got more important things to do.

PS: This is one of things I see Weirda Mirrart could do. With additional sheet of bigger and smaller individuals
she has observed.

If someone haven't seen the very first and lame WIP, here it is....I cannot wait to compare it with further result to see how far this work has gone :'D
