I made a character who is the child of Pitchiner sibling to mother nature. She was a bit younger then Mother Nature when it happened but she's the guardian of Birthdays.Β

I read this scene about Pitch and his past while sitting in the tram with people surrounding me. I was fighting the tears not to embarras myself crying over a childrens book. But if I think of it know, it's not awkward to feel for a figure this much. These books make me feel like a child again.

Why not ? In the book he was very evil and threatening, the fact that he had a daughter just gave him more depth as a character ! I just think that the whole "I have no idea of where I come from and I'm evil because nobody loves me" idea is kinda silly and I would have preferred to see him more developped ^^

However, what i mean is, that maybe they want to make Pitch a total bad guy: to me, ROG tends to be more like a traditional heroric trail. Therefore, a sad past might make the Boss lost the strong feeling of BAD. Just like the Joker. I tend to like him better than Batman, even wants him to win after knowing his past, which is not quite what the company wants(I guess?)
another thing is, maybe they don't have enough money or time to make this happen.

Yeah, I don't think it's a money problem, so you're probably right about them trying to make him less likable, they wanted Jack to be the focus of the movie. I'm sorry if I keep repeating myself, it's just that it annoyes me greately that they made him such a wimp ! Anyway I understand your point ^^

Yeah, she showed up in the books. Pitch's backstory is really depressing... *Gross sobbing*
The movie kinda took the plot in a different direction though, so I don't think she'll show up in a sequel or anything.
