I saw this piece last Sunday and I was so touched by the warmth and compassion that radiates from this portrait that tears came to eyes. I showed this to my husband and he agrees that this is a very special portrait in many ways. Your description of her is all what we can find in it. I do not think you could have demonstrate your friendship towards her in a better way than this. I am glad that such a good person will be remembered this way!

This woman I knew was so special that I would go around saying I want to be just like "Mrs. Korn" when I grow up (I'm 48). It was meant to be funny but at the same time I meant it. She was like a ray of sunshine when she would walk into a room. I hope I am like that for the people I know in my life, I know that I try to be, I just hope that I am.

What a gorgeous portrait and a beautiful tribute to someone that obvious was special to you. Her personality really comes out in your rendering and that is a hard thing to accomplish.

Thank you for the compliment on Portrait of a Friend. She was one of the most brightest stars I have ever met. I miss her terribly. I have a small copy of the portrait on my mantle which I see every day. It is a nice way to think of her. Her family said I captured her essence which made me happy in return.
