Haha! Just browsing through your snail pictures, and this one is definitely my favorite of them! I have to say, I never particularly liked snails, but your photos have made me look at them in a different light. The "expressions" in each of them are just too funny and adorable! The way they seem to be staring each other down and stuffing their faces (the way the one on the right is holding the lettuce, it almost looks like it has cheeks bulging out with too much food) in this one is just perfect. You certainly seem to have captured them at just the right moment.
Also, I just read your most recent journal regarding these poor lab animals. What a pointless experiment! I, myself, am a biology student and do understand some of the merits of animal experimentation, but when there is really no relevant or important point to the suffering... It's just plain wrong (I mean, how is this in any way related to chemistry?). I do hope you get a chance to speak to the head of the science department at your school, and manage to get through to them. All of this business with putting the poor snails on ice just seems completely unnecessary.
