Don't feel too bad. I actually did the same thing once when I was with my friends. It was shortly after Portal 1 came out, so nobody understood what I meant. They just all looked at me like '...What???

Well at least it happens while you're awake.
It was at least a week and a half after my surgery when, in the middle of the night, I half woke up, crawled off the couch onto the floor, because I was afraid a portal would open beneath me. (My couch is a lighter color than the floor btw) So I woke up on the floor. Because of Portal.

I HAD THAT AS WELL!!! x'DDD if I had a blue and orange spray paint can, I would find white surfaces and draw them there. xP
ItΒ΄s so friggin annoying when you start having dreams about solving puzzles and you actually think you have to solve them before you can go to school... =___=; I even woke up once to check how much time I have left.

It's worse when you see a pair of half-disassembled billboards with nothing but white paneling on them, which look stupidly like the paneling for Aperture. I had that moment when I was out on the Boardwalk at Wildwood NJ, looked up, saw these half-done billboards with nothing but gray panels on them, and was like "Aperture...aww wait a minute."

I like how that's such a simple mind-messing moment that you conveyed, and it shows how much the games affect us after a while.

I had this problem too after beating the game! I stayed up for 24 hours straight playing it and then I went to school. White walls EVERYWHERE and I kept wondering where the hell my portal gun was so I could get out of math. I could literally see portals in my mind. It was amazing.

I always end up noticing all of the white/concrete-esqe walls and being all ".. that'd be a good place to put one, then I could put one over there, and.. WAIT A SECOND".

In a gym I practice in there's this white backboard for a basketball hoop sticking out of the wall. But there's no hoop.
And on the other side of the gym there's a raised catwalk.

Walking around downtown and all I see is white walls and tall buildings.... And I'm like" ok so the sidewalk has white many on it ... Do does that roof. If I just port..... GOD DAMNIT!"

My dog wake me up in 3:30AM today because he wants to... you know... We go for a walk and I seen the wall like this and I think then - "why did I use the stairs, I just need to do the portal and I don't need to dress, I can let my dog go there because the leash is long and..." In that time my dog finished his work and pulled me back home.

I didn't play the game, but after watching the youtubes of Portal and Portal 2, I can totally understand why Portal 2 is currently taking hold of your mind.
