Hey everyone~!So I've never shown you all how I do a normal deer now, so I thought I'd give it a shot. This particular picture is a combination of traditional work and digital work. And the damn thing took forever because the original file was HUGE~! Mist of my time I spent waiting for the program to finish completing a task. How lame... Β Anyway, the stag is traditional and took hardly any time at all to color and shade, and the background is digital. I'm very fond of the background from a distance, and up too close makes it look like poop. But I'm relatively proud of it because if my computer wasn't so slow, this would be the equivalent of a speed paint~ :>Β
Anyway, I'd love to hear some feed back from you guys and some possible critiques for the future. I want to try speed painting more to get my skills up~

A thing that comes to my mind when looking at those leaves on the top is that they look a bit too solid and one big mass instead of being leaves of individual trees, but at the same time I do not know if you where looking for a 'realistic' look with the forest so idek! 
The depth effect is nice from the out of focus grass.

Yeah the plan was to have a solid overhead canopy because I always liked the idea of a window lighting effect. But I'm not very good at trees in general so, yeah. I need more practice~ xP
