Description
Redrew the absol-doodles, with more lion. I'm especially fond of the lowered foreheads. :3I felt odd drawing the breasts on the female, but the fur makes it feel less inappropriate.

Hm, i'm going to have to say that 99% of the time I won't do art trades, because I usually feel there's really nothing I'd care to have people draw.
The 1% of the time is more because I want to have fun with friends, and thus don't really care about the end result (or rather care more about the friend's interest in my character(s) than the picture they produce.)

it's cool with me and I understand not everyone likes art trades because it's not given best for one half.
Nothing wrong with your picture just love how human faced they are and reminded me of one of my characters due to the monstrosity these Absols are (in good detail).

That's neat. They humanish face brings to mind sorphids, but I think I like the absols face more because the markings add more creativity.
I know what you mean about being hesitant to draw breasts and such. I a feel a tad awkward doing that but I'm not sure how else to establish the fact it's a girl either.

I suppose just saying "this one's a female" is enough, since many animals don't have a typical female appearance by human standards. However, it doesn't translate as well.
I was going to say that the first sorphid I saw on google search had trouble with the head blending in with the body, but I checked and I have the same problem. having more naked area under the chin would probably help, or alternatively giving them a beard. *stroke chin*

Yeah... For me, I usually just decide how they look different and outright state "this is a female this is a male". Guess here I wanted them to be immediately recognizeable as either gender. HMM.
Well, human gender identifiers don't usually apply for other animals anyway, and gender differences are dependant also on how faithful the breeding pair is to one another. (the more faithful, the more the genders look the same. hence humans aren't actually all -that- faithful...)

Yeah the lump really is a problematic point when drawing absol. <:u In my previous incarnation I think I just downplayed it as a part of the mane, but this time went with a bald head for a less "cool" appearance. (though the white patterns still made them look pretty cool regardless.)
