It sounds like an unbelievable amount of work which requires years of practice. I am happy that there are people like you out there who brings to us things like that, which most of us would never see otherwise. My favorite is how the final texture of the river - the softness - mirrors the softness of the aurora, with the trees providing a nice contrasting sharpness of lines and darkness.

I was in TromsΓΈ in March and got to see some Auroras. We were in the city so the lights seemed rather weak but it still was such an intense feeling! Looking forward to go there again.

I am sooooo jealous. I have always wanted to see the northern lights. The exposure is just right. The use of the black card to get brighter foreground exposure is a great idea.

The epic winter photos don't seem to cease. This must have been a very exhilarating and breathe-taking sight. To see the magnificent aurora borealisin the night sky change the river green and to see how the snow has formed around and in the river is spenlidid. I'm very glad you captured this shot.
