Description Looking at this picture, I see two stories. The first is obvious--there are two girls playing on the beach. Then I see another story. The girl in the light has cast off all pain and trouble that has kept her down, while the other is still struggling in darkness. The picture grows darker as soon as the eye leaves the girl in the sun. Even the darker girl has a distorted shadow, as if she is doubtful. Sorry, I hate it when I try to be "artistic," too : /

A Nikon D3000! It was going to be that or the Canon Rebel, but since I already have a film Nikon, I got that one so I now have two lenses! : D When I'm not in school and working for my bread money, I may get a newer one, but this is brand new, amazing, and better than anything I have ever had! It makes the pictures look better than what I see in real life : D

Although, one thing I may suggest, when you have amazing pictures, like this, try putting a decent sized black frame around it in photoshop or something. It really compliments the photo, and makes it look more polished and finished.

I like the Canon I have, and hey, beggars can't be choosers, as I was lucky enough my brother let me 'permanently borrow' it. But. I really like the image colors/contrast that you get with a Nikon...And I am so jealous right now.

Haha! My doctor said I needed to spend more time outdoors to try to get better, so I picked up photography again. I decided that I should take the leap and go all in! But free is ALWAYS good : D

Thank you! I was hoping for a normal day, but I was blown away at how golden the sky turned! The sun was white, then yellowed, and then was gone. siiigh. It was beautiful : D
