Description I used a pearlecent blue for the background color hence the light reflection on the left side of the piece.

This is interesting. I am reminded of laying on my back looking up through the tree boughs laced with red buds, but then it there is also the shape in the middle looks like a star, This is one of those pieces that would look good from any angle!

Thank you. When I do an abstract piece I try to do it in such a way that there is no set up or down. Whichever way speaks to an observer the most is the right way for that individual to look at it. Lately I've been trying to do this with my figurative work as well.

This is true. I know because abstract isn't my style, that when I do play around with it, I am not even thinking about how someone else will observe it, only how it helps me release emotionally, like shedding a tear I guess. It is the comfort and joy it brings me in the process of making it.

I know what you're talking about. I find abstract painting to be far more cathartic than any of my other work.
