They call him Baba Yaga. Well John wasn't exactly the Boogeyman, he was the one you sent to kill the fucking Boogeyman. John is a man of focus, commitment and sheer will. I once saw him kill three men in a bar, with a pencil.

I loved the movie even though it was so violent, or maybe because of it? Keanu Reeves was perfect in the role of the retired hitman, who had wanted to retire and only came back because there was so much well-deserved whooping to be given around. I really like the way in this picture we realize he's not a good character (not from a standard point of view of good and evil), but still he's anguished enough that we can still sympathize with him. Very well done! Β

The worldbuilding indeed, it was way better than some of the more successful movies I've seen so far. I particularly loved the gold coins as a means of payment into the secret world and the laundry service coming to his house. Oh, and the Hotel! Β
