Thank you to all the Veterans, and regardless of what side you fall on politically, we all can agree on that.

Over the past few days, my mind has been reeling from election day when something popped up on my feed, and even though it's from a movie it's words still resonate with me.

Civil War-

"I asked her once how she managed to master diplomacy and espionage at a time when no one wanted to see a woman succeed at either. And she said, compromise when you can. Where you can't, don't. Even if everyone is telling you that something wrong is something right. Even if the whole world is telling you to move. It is your duty, to plant yourself like a tree, look them in they eye and say, No... ... you move."

Some ugly things have been said in this election, but in spite of that, I think it's up to everyone to prove that love is better than hate. That xenophobia, sexism, racism are wrong and that one day we can quell these evils to a lull. The optimist in me hopes that with every new day we come closer to that day where we are closer to that society and not further away.
