You just had to say the word "Eternals"! LOL! Now my Marvel brain sees this as the Eternal city of Olympia!

This looks awesome.
Maybe these giant machines are generators of a new type of clean energy, themselves driven by stellar power that is collected via mirrors and beamed down from space.

hehe - awesome. Mega-structures, love the blue light tones and the bright sheens in the gold hue. Something i can stare at for hours. Serious eye candy.

Wonderful piece of work here! I'm imagining all sorts of possibilities right now for what could be going on in a place like this! It's always great when a piece of art can stoke the imagination.

If I was on one of those giant cannon-looking things, I'd say this would be the perfect place and time to propose to someone X3

Nicely done. As for the machines, one could imagine them as local energy generators powered up by orbital solar power stations and/or a [semi complete] Dyson sphere around one of this system stars. The transmitted power is so intense it ionizes the atmospheres gas, presumably air like on Earth, and illuminates the conducted gas*.
*Simplified speculation .
Edit: Improved the text a little.

I could go on: The sheer mass of the components introduces such a high inertia to the individual system, that even at full load, the generators keep going for another 24 hours without energy input, before the power grid collapses. This security measure was introduced for emergencies, like the planets evacuation. The mining and terraforming operations in this system caused instability with several other planets. We already lost three sites classified as of "high interest". The only thing left there are "the Eternals".

Maybe I will. Could I draw some inspiration from your work? Perhaps I find some time, although it has been tight lately.
