I think we can all agree that Dark Bramble is the least pleasant place in Outer Wilds. The fog and giant seeds that connect the place together are not too bad, but giant anglerfish that live here are a different story. Yes, they are hostile. Yes, getting eaten by them is instant death. And no, you are not safe inside your ship because they can swallow it whole, too.
White lights in the distance are either seeds/nodes or anglerfish. The safest way to find out is firing a scout in that direction.
The bad news is that you'll have to get past THREE of them at one point. The good news is that they have a weakness – you can learn about it by exploring caves on the Ember Twin. If you're feeling lazy, here's a spoiler .
