Ok this is rather dark... I'm sorry. I just found it tonight almost finished so I decided to work on it.So, after Codi is born, (which was the very same night Nightmare tried to corrupt a Swap Sans' indomitable soul btw random fact) Nightmare returns to see if his plan worked and is AGHAST at the resulting CHILD instead! Nightmare, Meet Your Son He would have killed Codi there and then if it wasn't for Dream stepping in and driving Nightmare out.
ANYYYYWAAAYYYY... for a few years after... Blueberry is NOT free from sporadic nightly visits from Nightmare, who decides to try the same plan again but this time gradually fill Blueberry with his evil corruption instead of all at once... of course Codi is always co-sleeping with his mama and would alert Papyrus to his presence, so he has to keep the boy silent... at this point Nightmare would have decided he can use this unfortunate 'accident' to his advantage and is biding his time before he plans to take Codi to his castle and mould him into his perfect obedient servant.
So... Blue really needs a happy Dream right about now to keep him safe from Nightmare.
(I had the idea that Nightmare appears to Blueberry like a NIGHT HAG - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Night_ha… and so he is pressing down on Blueberry and paralyses him in order to perform... *ahem* the bond... well... it is a bond I s'pose... not a nice one.)

Nightmare needs to actually BE EVIL.... seems a lot of ppl forget... and downplay the potential with his character.
The Norverse Nightmare is NOT capable of ANY LOVE... what he does... he does for the POWER. The satisfaction that only he will feel...
...just trying to stick to that principle is creating these reeeaalllly awful scenarios that...well... it would just happen that way - If Nightmare WANTS to do something... he won't have any conflicting emotions against doing it. To stop him would mean actually STOPPING HIM. He wouldn't listen to reason based on emotion, he just wouldn't care.
So Dream better get in there asap and ward him off already!

I actually think it's better on mobile because you can zoom in more that on a pc monitor.
