Hmm... auch, I made a mistake with the replies... You're not among the prize winners with this challenge. Sorry about that.

What about a restricted stock pack as 'comfort prize' then ? - You can find them here [link] - If you'd like to receive one, please NOTE me with the stock pack of your choice, and be sure to add an email address, so that I know where to send it to

great light and shadow. the stained glass is the best touch.
what, btw is the reddish object in front of him, right hand bottom corner?

There's a lot more on the table that he's blocking. That's a vial with a red liquid. And thanks for the complements.

Great blending and the light is spot on. The composition is really nice too, helped by the subtle use of texture. Really good work my friend.

A perfect selection of stock to blend together for a wonderful Renaissance feel! I'd love to see the candle lit and his face dodged just a tiny bit, though - his features are a little dark, although goodness knows that could just be my old monitor here at work.

TheFantaSim In reply to Cynnalia [2010-09-09 23:09:43 +0000 UTC]

I kept going back and forth over lighting that candle, and finally decided to leave it as it is, but thanks for that suggestion. I think I decided against it because the picture really isn't that dark and I would have been forcing the lighted candle, you know what I mean.

And as for his face being too dark, yes that could be your monitor settings. I'm constantly checking mine to make sure that what I see in my paint program is what I see at dA.

Thanks for commenting!!!

You're welcome! I've never bothered playing with my monitor settings at work because I do all my art at home on my iMac, but I think I'd better lighten this puppy up! lol
