SPOILERS AHOY FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT WATCHED THE TENTH EPISODE OF MADOKA.EDIT: I changed one of the pictures because you can only really see the ball when it's lit from behind or photographed with a flash.
This is the Center of Madoka's Witch, Kriemhild Gretchen, as seen in the concept art gallery included on a Bonus disc that came with the PSP game. [link] [link] . I made it about the same way that I made most of my other Soul Gems except I used a Clear Christmas ornament for the Egg section and this one has a lot of flat back pearls.
It's waaaaaay larger than my other ones. There isn't a light built in because the design only looks right when it's lit from the back due to the large ball. I used like 3 tubes of Super Glue on this, mainly on the wings.

This could've been a final boss if Madoka despaired in the PSP game, fought after Walpurgis. Imagine what the fight could've been like.

Finally, someone who agrees with me! Yes, the original series ending wasn't so good, THIS is how it should've ended!
I'd imagine the first part would be outside Gretchen, and it would be remiscient of absolutely awesome Last Bosses like Perfect Dark Gaia or Devil Doom in Sonic, or Final Sigma in Megaman X7. Then the second part would be Gretchen's Core, and it would be sort of like bosses like Heart Of Nova/Star Dream Soul OS from Kirby Planet Robobot, or Aurum Core Pyrrhon in Kid Icarus Uprising.
But no, we don't get an absolutely truly epic True Last Boss fight against Gretchen, like we Should Have, instead we get an ending like almost all of the stuff Saitama has been in.

Yeah. In my mind, you would only have Homura for this fight. Gretchen's first phase could claw you for around 40 damage each hit (80 damage total), or can charge and have some of her appendages impale you for around 90-100 damage. Her HP would be around 1000 in her first phase.
The second phase would teleport around, and then charge a shockwave (Note that a few red tiles with a "!" explanation point at the center are safety tiles) that deals around 100 damage if you don't defend yourself. The core can also summon "familiars," that are reminiscent of Madoka's bow that deal around 30 damage for their attacks, with them having around 150 HP. The core itself would also have around 1000 HP.
When you finally kill it, the "soul gem," begins to crack while Gretchen begins to flash white and fade, as it finally breaks, a huge wave of black mist spurts out of the core while a distorted version of Madoka's scream is heard, with reversed holy chanting and sounds of chaos and disaster being faintly heard (Madoka wanted everyone to be happy and in peace, this represents the opposite). When it finally breaks, a brief silhouette of Madoka is visible before it immediately fades into white.
...Sure, it'll lead to a downer ending, but at least Homura saved the world.

This is how I also think the ending Should Have Been like (notice how the Last Boss before the True Last Boss looks a lot like Gretchen, but with an Eggman Face). --> www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzLWZA…
Like Homura facing against the True Last Boss, Kriemheld Gretchen, by using the power of a ton of Grief Seeds at once and becoming something like Hyper Homura, for one last showdown against the True Last Boss. Then after that, Kyubey realizes how Gretchen has failed and takes advantage of her weakened state and absorbs her power, becoming Omega Kyubey or something like that. Then it would be one last and long Showdown of the True True Last Boss, Omega Kyubey, vs Hyper Homura, with the weakened and wounded Gretchen quivering in the background. It would be something like Tabuu, mixed with Final Zonda (Gunvolt 2), and Final Lumine (Megaman X8), and Marluxia (KH), with a boatload of awesomeness in it. At the end, Homura would then sacrifice her own life to defeat Omega Kyubey, but it would be finished there with a long and epic True True Last Boss fight that isn't over in One Shot, and peace would be restored from that.

To be honest, I don't really like that idea. Why does Kyubey suddenly turn against Homura? Hyper Homura might be plausible, though. ._.

I had another idea for a better ending to the series too, but my other one involves some of my fan-characters (and therefore would need more episodes in-between), and it would be a bit lengthy, but would also be worlds better, and make for a better way to continue than that absolutely God Awful 3rd movie, that contradicted so many things and was full of Fan Response and plot holes.
Don't get me wrong, I do like the series a ton (it's my 3rd favorite anime), but it wasn't perfect.
Just like how I loved Xenogears, and Sonic Chronicles The Dark Brotherhood, but I really disliked their endings.
As Saitama would say.

What did you use for the inside to get the galaxy look? I dunno if that's what it is, but it reminds me of that. lol Two more questions, did you use a certain ball, and how'd you get everything in it?

1. Plastic film like the kind that people use for fairy wings.
2. I used a ball that came off of a hair-tie.
3. The clear part is a plastic Christmas ornament that you could open up to fill. I glued everything to the back part and hid the seams with the gold stuff.

This one cost me about $30 in supplies and took about 2 weeks to make. I don't think think it's really worth the amount of money I would have to charge for it.
