part of a video made with blender, mandlebulb3d, and my model-d synth. the music was originally recorded on the second day I had my model-d, and I hadn't yet learned to be careful before changing the knob positions on an analog synth
the fractal was exported as a mesh and then cleaned in blender to get the vetex count below 5 million, the sand is actually a really thick volume object, like a fog, which gives it a really soft look I like. The downside of this method is render time. In this case each fame took 2.5 minutes to render, instead of 15-20 seconds, which made this video an over 8hour render.
