Description
The first piece of a mini-series within a larger project! There are process shots and a video clip on my instagram if you scroll back.I tried a method of painting this where I work on it for 30 minute segments whenever I have a time slot, so it was put together over the course of a couple of weeks. It's an interesting way to paint, and I feel I gained something from it. I've been using the same method to practice horses recently, where I draw one horse each day and then move on.

The lighting on this is so beautiful. And I really like the idea of painting for so long and then taking a break; in a way, it reminds me of writing sprints. Nnnnneeeeat! I love the composing of this piece, with the fluffed up fox
and the spirit creature. The contrast in colours is also very interesting -
while I usually would associate green with life, in this picture it reminds
me of somethign toxic. Cool piece!

The time this took really did pay off!
It's stunning to look at (as always, you continue to achieve beautiful textures, accurate anatomy, smooth movement and eyecatching composition)
