Fushigi Yuugi is about a girl who's transported into an ancient chinese-like world inside a book. She needs to summon the god of the land she arrived in, becoming its priestess. She can only summon the god by collecting the 7 warriors that represent said god. It was my first manga so it's extra special to me. Unfortunately the main character is annoying and so is her love interest, but that's just my opinion.
