…And now, can you deduce/guess: What Pokemons are behind Ninetales-mask and Missingno.’s Mask?
TWELVE Pokemon characters in one picture (if the shadow on the ground and all masks are not counted)… And I’m so happy I got background into this round perspective nicely… PHEW. Drawing this took much more time than I expected. But it was worth iiiiit! Kinda new thing to me to draw such dark shadow on characters... But nice to try, 'cause 1) I like try new drawing styles and 2) I wanted to draw similiarly with original art of Majora’s Mask dark-ish-style. Plus this game is so unique and interesting.
About watermark: I know it doesn't look nice. I didn't want it, but instead I ended up to need it. Before I knew what Reddit is, my heart jumped when I heard that my work was seen outside of the DeviantArt, in Reddit-site. You never know for sure if your art will be stolen, so you end up putting watermark just in case. Another purpose of watermark is that when your art wanders outside original website, you may want to make it clear where the art was originally from, so people could find and see more art from that artist if interested.
I put good long hours when planning and working on this pic, and I really don't feel like risking all my effort.
I think this is obvious for most of people in DA, so sorry for ranting. I'm not member of Reddit, so I cannot tell those people how this is, but as there's link to my work from Reddit, maybe they reads this before complaining more of the watermark. ...It's funny to see how my work has more comments in that site than here. It was interesting to read them.

I'm glad you added the watermark. I boredly do image searches and Pinterest has been my bane because people keep putting stuff on it that clogs my searches, but never gives original artist credit. Thank you for watermarking so I could find the original and fav it!

Also, Behind the Ninetails Mask? Combusken, It's The only Likely Candidate XP And I Mean, Look At Combusken Than The Picture, And For The Nuzleef Mask? I'd Have to Say Cubone, Some Other Likely Candidates Could Be Sandshrew Or Marowak But Marowak Has a Spike on his Tail and Sandshrew Has Markings, So I'd Have to Say That.. Skull Kid is Cubone, And Kafei Is Combusken!

Yeah, I agree. Though I think that's probably how it is for any Pokemon crossover: there are so many Pokemon that virtually any character will have several potential matches that are all "perfect" for different reasons. Anyhow, I do love this crossover. Very clever.

I was recently thinking about this, and came up with my own crossover ideas for characters not included here.
Regigigas as Odolwa (I thought of the giants as Golurks, but they might not have been around when you drew this)
Groudon as Goht
Kyogre as Gyorg (I think they even have the same etymology)
Green and black Rayquaza as Twinmold(s)
and Deoxys for Majora's Mask, which I'm proud of. They both came from space, have the same creepy eyes, horns, tentacles, lasers, other psychic powers, and spoiler alert each have different forms. Normal for Mask, with the tentacles and lasers, Speed for Incarnation because of the colour scheme and manic running, and Attack for Wrath because the aggression, whips and it's in the name.
I'm not so comfortable with Skull Kid being a Cubone, it sounds like a pun. I mean, he has a beak.

And about Cubone, I didn't choose it because of the name, but rather the origin. In Zelda Wiki (or if you have Ocarina of Time game, and talk to Navi about Skull Kid), Navi implies that children who wander into the Lost Woods become Skull Kids. In that game you can also give a Skull Mask to Skull Kid. In Bulbapedia pokedex entries say that Cubone wears the skull of its dead mother on its head, and that could be why Cubone version of Skull Kid would be interested to get Skull Mask from Link in OoT game. So let's speculate that Cubone lose/don't have skull to wear on it's head, and wants something in it's place, even if temporarily until finds the skull again (as Cubones in general don't wander around face exposed), a mask would do fine.
Missigno is shown to have many forms, and one of them is the sprite of the ghost found in Pokémon Tower in Lavender Town. The ghost is said to be the mother of a Cubone, Marowak (but Missigno with that sprite is not Cubone's mother). So when Missigno takes form of that ghost as a mask, and Cubone has lost the skull of it's mother which it used to cover it's face... It makes this set up convenient for Missigno to encourage Cubone to do serious mayhem. Majora can destroy their world with it's crazy powers, and Missigno can destroy Pokemon world with it's crazy glitches.
But this is what I like about this cross-over: there are so many options to choose which Pokemon would suit for each role - and each version makes this all more colorful!

Without looking at the comments, I'm pretty sure that the Pokemon version of Skull Kid is an Abra, judging by it's short body and yellow-ish tail.
As for the wearer of the Ninetails mask, I think it's a Combusken, if not Meowth is my 2nd guess but them bird feet seem to give it away ^_^;

A general reason why people use a watermark is to protect digital intellectual property, such as photos and artwork, from unauthorized use... AKA discourage art theft. Plus if the art wanders outside from it's original website where it's from, watermarks let people know where the art is originally from so they could go find the artist and see more art from him/her.
