*And yes I have to admit a thing about Charmander's flame. Serious business if it goes out but we never know how much effort one must take to douse the flame. A drop of water? A squirt of water? Drowning in the ocean? No one really knows the limit anyways. I'd say Squirtle didn't aim on his tail, that's for sure. I respect every opinion on this one, but a controversial topic will remain controversial!*

i've allways concidered the tail flame thing to be an 'indicator of health' rather than a 'douse this and it dies' thing.Β Β like, if you dumped a bucket of water on it and doused it, the char would be a little irritated that it'd have to restart the flame, but no harm done.
Now, if you saw the flame slowly shrink along with the char getting emaciated and frail, then, yes, when the tail goes out, it's done for.
