Had this sitting on my desktop for a while now and thought I'd throw it up here. This is probably one of my favorite designs out of the ships I've done so far. Have a few more monster ships in the works.

The Iron Tarkus was the most massive, heavily armed dedicated warship built by humanity, and also the most controversial for its involvement in several genocides. In the late 2130's information regarding the construction of the Elysium Mons class of superbattleships was leaked, causing widespread panic among colony worlds who feared they would be used to oppress them. As a result, the Colony World Coalition was formed, primarily headed by the British government, and started work on their counter to the Elysium class. The vessel was built primarily around the world of Maverick's Refuge utilizing mass amounts of slave labor to speed construction. It was designed to counter entire planetary forces, featuring the most ship mounted weapons and shielding and amor both capable of surviving a barrage of megaton nuclear weapons. It also featured spinal railguns capable of throwing a one ton projectile at 30% the speed of light and a microwave cannon capable of baking cities. Completed in 2150, the ship grossly outclassed everything, and the threat of the Elysium class never materialized. A slip in security in 2154 allowed the pirate faction Xok to seize the ship in what was possibly the greatest intelligence disasters of all time. The Pirates used the immense firepower of the vessel to bombard several world's from orbit, causing massive destruction. The vessel was seized a second time months later by the United Mars Federation which planned to destroy the remaining cities of earth with it. They largely succeeded, resulting in over 4 billion casualties and the total collapse of earth's governments but were eventually stopped by the fledgling Sol alliance. It was supposedly scrapped following its capture but turned up unexpectedly during the slaughter at Vega, taking out the two Idariahan cruisers that were wiping the floor with the combined human fleet. It would be refit and repaired in the following years, fighting in several skirmishes.
It would again go to war in 2168 under the 7th allied fleet as part of a mass assault on the Idarian home world near the galactic core. It would again redeem itself by saving the 4th fleet which included it's intended rival, the Elysium Mons, from total annihilation. During the battle over Sagittarius A-Star, it would be mortally wounded when one of its Inertial Confinement Fusion engines detonated, and subsequently be rammed into the supermassive black hole to buy its allies time to amass a retreat.
