Description
Quick rendition of the dwarf planet Haumea and its two moons Hi'aka and Namaka I did for a Discord competition.

I had originally wanted to do a Kerbal Space Program esque animation
showing the interplanetary tug depart low lunar orbit, swing by Jupiter,
arrive at Haumea, and deploy a small lander to its surface but I had to
can the whole thing because I got super busy over the last few days and
didn't have time. So instead I just went with a single shot, though I might pick this back up if I have time. I originally wanted to go for what would be more of a realistic appearance based off ground observations (largely homogeneous surface with one large discolored patch) but I got a bit carried away with the texture paint tool and ended up with a much more fractured world partially inspired by the appearance of Pluto. I also had the rings and moons scaled more appropriately but ended up shrinking them down so they'd fit in frame better. And finally I gave it a tenuous atmosphere again akin to Pluto but I'm not read up enough to say for certain that Haumea could actually support an atmosphere, especially given its peculiar shape and fast rotation.
