Fearsome Crittober Day 17 (I'll be busy all day tomorrow, so I'm getting this one done early): The Tote-Road Shagamaw.Many fights have broken out among woodsmen due to arguments about srange tracks that are unmistakably bear tracks suddenly turning into unmistakable moose tracks. It turns out this is due to a bizarre creature called the Tote-Road Shagamaw, which switches between walking on its front paws (which are those of a bear) and its hind legs (which are those of a moose). It switches every quarter-mile or 440 paces, as 440 is as high as it can count.
