This looks good!! i wanna know how u did the blur thing on the car lights

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SPEARdesign In reply to riacharda [2007-05-28 13:41:02 +0000 UTC]

it's long exposure - imagine if the lense stays open then any light that passes will be recorded on the image - hence the effect. I've got more in my gallery if ur interested in having a look

riacharda In reply to SPEARdesign [2007-05-29 01:05:50 +0000 UTC]

ohh ok. Well i thought that effect was done in photoshop. i'm not highly into photography but i quite understand what you're saying

SPEARdesign In reply to riacharda [2007-05-29 01:17:35 +0000 UTC]

glad my explanation was ok

nah i couldn't be bothered to do this sort of thing in PS - much easier to let the camera do it itself don't you think

p.s. that's a boat going by... lol

Yeah my flat misses the bumming. It's sooooooo empty.

And quiet.

Ps. I'm staying up late because it makes tomorrow seem further away. Protect me from the wrath of Nigel. Hahaha

flaming-tubesock [2007-01-02 17:09:31 +0000 UTC]

Very cool. How did you get the shutter speed so high with your camera, and what is the big brown streak?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SPEARdesign In reply to flaming-tubesock [2007-01-02 17:23:45 +0000 UTC]

i've got a Fuji S9500 which can go fully automatic - user control over shutter speed, up to 30 seconds (and to infinite with Bulb mode where u just hold the shutter as long as you want), aperture and manual focus. the streak on the water is a big boat going by. if that's the one you mean?
