A new Wardrobe task for Calian's rerun of OC-training .

Look, I can't draw horses. The horses in Cal's round are going to be mostly studies of reference pictures. I just want to give him the proper horseback drawings he deserves. That being said, he is allowed one horse per task. He didn't have one in Profile so he's getting two in Wardrobe. That is my last word, Cal.

off the road
Plain linen shirt, thick cotton pants and leather riding boots. Dressed for medium temperature, spring or autumn. The knife is a collab between the guild's blacksmith and Cal himself. The blacksmith made the blade, Cal made the handle. He likes woodwork and often keeps his hands busy with carving.
The bear claws necklace: he got it from his grandfather Haqiqat as he was leaving with Vael to remember where he comes from. Cal wears it most of the time.

on the road
The outfit he donned in Isil's GW . Cal's got a few possessions of sentimental value that are shown here. The most important is his father's blade, Eagle Claw. It's made of layered steel and encrusted from both sides with two pommel gems, a super rare type of jade. Not unlikely a magic amplifier in trained arcane warrior hands. Calian's father looted it off another chieftain body. As far as Cal is aware, there's no one alive after that blade anymore. He sometimes offers prayers to the angry spirits who might still yearn for revenge.
What Cal is doing with the soil in his palm is tracking using earth pulse. It can take many forms, but it always involves getting your hands dirty. The soil where an animal's foot has fallen still contains its core energy aura residue which can be used to find out its whereabouts. Efficiency of that method depends on a whole lot of variables so one time it can be accurate, another almost useless.

Shav’s choice
A uniform of a high ranked Duinegal officer, Eastern Ceagild fashion. The kind of thing Shavana and Jakkimar made him wear to their fundraiser parties. Calian is of the opinion the parties would've been just fine without him. But he was dating Shav back then, and she wouldn't hear about it. And Vael thought the League service was good publicity for the guild. Cal could not win against their powers combined.

out for water
Something Cal used to wear back in his homeland. Many layers of fine leather and silk fabric, the latter traded from southern Ekken. Serves as good protection from sand and cold. Doesn't serve as protection against creatures living on the wastelands. That's why Wasteland Ekkenians are very good trackers. Avoiding the wyvern hunting territory altogether is more efficient than gearing up against them every time you have to gather resources.

shooting
Calian was basically raised glued to a horse with a bow glued to his hand. It's just a variation of his casual outfit with armguards and his favourite vest.
He made his hunting bow while already in Duine Vale. It's a recurve short bow made of yew and horn in Ekkenian fashion. Moderately larger than regular Ekkenian bows, since wood isn't that sparse in the Unowned Lands.
His thumb ring was a gift from his eldest sister for his fifteenth birthday. Made of carved jade and silk ribbon. Got it just in time before he was cast out. Cal keeps it at him at all times. Sometimes he can still sense his sister's aura on it and that's how he knows she's still alive.

desert
For a long journey across the desert. Some economy quality silk to protect from the sand and wind. And conceal harder gear underneath for when you have unfinished business in the Wasteland. Would've done him a horse if he didn't reach his horse quota.

The scimitar was the other thing glued to his hand while on horseback. Ekkenian nomadic tribes pride themselves in horseback fighting prowess, no matter what else they do in life. He's wearing a high-end armor typically worn by Ekkenian warlords. It's made of animal scales. I haven't decided yet which animal, but the scales are similar to pangolin scales
There's no story moment for this outfit, but I just really wanted to give him an epic Mongol-style war attire because reasons. It's sort of a what-if. If Calian decided to go back to Ekken and take back his birthright. War is not something he has a desire for, though.
