Introducing the first of many to come of a new story/character(s) I have in the making!!

MatrixPotato , Zoketi , other friends off of deviantart, and I have been playing Red Dead Online together a bunch over the past few months, and needless to say, it's become an addiction for all of us. What started out as a slight "joke" of making our characters that we play as in RDO into actual characters has really blossomed into something so much more over the course of the last few months. Now we have a whole gang, character bios, bios for our horses, and stories/mini-comics already thought up and just waiting to be put on paper. It's something that's really given me a lot of happiness as I've gone through some shit outside of the internet, and I'm happy to finally get started on it.

One roadblock I faced with starting this stuff - it's been literal years since I've last even attempted to draw a horse, let alone humans. It took me a lot of studying and references to finally get down a style for the horses, and I'm slowly working on the humans. This was my first attempt at a full body with this style I've decided to try out and I love it.

So enough of my babbling, allow me to introduce the first of my RDO character's, Eleonora, horses, Chickadee!

Name: Chickadee (Dee)

Gender: Mare

Breed: Thoroughbred

Height: 16.8hh

Age: 11 years

Color: Mulberry grey on liver chestnut

Genotype: ee/Ata/Gg

Personality: Dee is just an energetic love bug. She really loves Nora with all her heart, despite her bad habit of throwing her head up when she attempts to bridle Dee. You can easily win her over though with a few good scratches on her belly, or tricking her by thinking you have a treat in your hand. Any time Nora goes to retrieve Chickadee from the gang's paddock or whistles for her, Dee will whinny loudly and sprint over as fast as she can, immediately looking for some pets. While it can be cute, Nora will rarely take Dee out for times when they need to be stealthy. She's loud af and doesn't care where she is, she'll cry out for her mom. On other outings, Dee is a perfect mount. She's incredibly brave, sometimes too much, and will ride into battle. Anyone who tends to her though needs to be wary that she has a tendency to cow kick when her back hooves are being picked. She gave another gang member a black eye from it once, and ever since no one but Nora will go near her to pick her hooves.

Worst Fear/Spook: Fire - Keep her hitched away from any campfire

Herd Mentality: Second in command, though she won't let any new comer know she's not the leader. That is, until Condor comes around.
Favorite Treat: Corn

History: Nora had been in town, stocking up on bullets, when a fire started in the town's stable. Some townsfolk ran in to save any people or horses, Nora included. She began unlocking the stable doors, shooing the horses out into town and away from the first. When she got to the third stall, the latch wouldn't budge and she was required to bust the stall door open. Racing out of the barn with the horse, Nora struggled to keep a hold of the horse and she broke free from her grasp, bolting off into the nearby forest. Calling for Finch, who she had rode into town on, the two ventured into the trees, searching for the horse. She hadn't made it far before she found the mare, standing but still very much alert and on edge. Nora was able to get a good look at the mare at this distance, looking for any sort of injuries that may render her useless. Somehow, she seemed unscathed, just unsettled from the excitement. Noticing the black smoke still towering into the sky, Nora took the opportunity of everyone being distracted to lasso the mare and bring her back to camp. A "payment" for her helping to free the other horses. In just a couple of days, the mare settled in to her new home and was very much attached to Nora. She decided to name the mare Chickadee for her sweet nature.
