Description

Pink-eyed rodents are often looked down at or even referred to as ‘demon-eyed’ by bigoted folk. Davey was born white furred and pink-eyed, the only one of his family and the only one in Redcliff to add to this oddity. All the locals of Redcliff know Davey from the Post and they are fine with him as he’s a quiet, bookish mouse who is pretty friendly but keeps to himself. But every now and then when drifters and newcomers blow through town they cross paths and Davey can get roughed up by folks who want to beat down on a ‘demon-eyed’ critter.
Davey is also lame in one leg and can’t easily defend himself in these situations, luckily he has many friends to come to his aid, and a mountainous twin brother with the temperament of a mother grizzly defending her cub. If they’re together, no one would think of laying a finger on Davey, but if he’s alone…
Davey hates being a victim in distress and will often hole himself up in his room after such instances and will only reappear after the perpetrators leave or the incident blows over. He often pretends these times never happened but keeps them bottled up in his mind and it has turned into a pretty bad case of self hate.
