Description My App for The art is still a WIP, hope to finish it up eventually though

Name: Orenddiel (or-end-deal) Often goes by Oren for short.
Gender: Female
Race: Beastwoman (Secretary Bird)
Age: 29
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 142 lbs
PoB: Borderlands
Residence: Grassland Outskirts of Tharsis, Arden
Rank: 0

Profession: Hunter/Tracker/Scout (a bit of everything really)

Personality: Self sustaining, independent, mature, resourceful, blunt, altruistic, modest

Background Info: Orenddiel had a rather average upbringing as a child, when she turned 11 she went out on her own to find her soul. During her time away, food and shelter were harder to come by so Oren learned to be resourceful and use what was available around her, learning much from watching what the creatures around her did to survive. Her time alone channeled her abilities in tracking, hunting, foraging and even craftsmanship.

Oren stayed on her soul journey long after she gained her pelt and only emerged from the wild when the solitude of her journey was interrupted by fire, and a small group of traveling humans. In the small forrest she had been living in for several months, Orenddiel now an willowy teen, had been foraging for food when a sudden eeriness fell over the forest. The rustle of animals and birds fleeing around her startled Oren, and as she looked up she smoke rising from the forests edge. Ignoring her instincts Oren ran towards the source of the smoke, finding a small number of humans trying to fend off against a pack of wolves. Seeing an elderly couple in trouble Oren pulled her bow and shot the wolf that was on them without hesitation. (A moment that would haunt her forever. It was the first time Oren had ever killed a creature without the intent of it providing food, clothing, warmth.) She helped the couple to their feet as they and a few other members of the group managed to escape. The couple thanked Oren and explained how the fire had been started by accident when the wolves attacked the group, someone having knocked a lantern into a dying bush which caught fire and spread quickly to the surrounding foliage. The forrest still smoldering behind her and with only bow and clothing she had on her , Oren bid adieu to the couple and started on her way to find a new shelter. But the couple stopped her saying they owed her a debt and that she would come with them and their group, they could provide her with shelter and food and clothing. Unused to the company of so many others Oren hesitantly agreed.

She stayed with them for a few nights until she noticed how the others stared to whisper and avoid her. She felt the a simmering hatred growing among the group. One night a young girl roughly Orenddiel's own age pulled her aside after dinner and asked her about her pelt. She warned Oren to flee after dark fell. "These are not good people" she said. Oren learned from the girl that the group had not been attacked by a pack of wolves without reason, but that they had been hunting that pack for several days driving them into the forrest Oren had been residing in. She told Oren that this group had already killed three of the wolf pack, and that the fire had not been an accident. It had been set intentionally to try to smoke out the wolves. The girl also told her that these humans loathed Beastmen and women...that they wanted her pelt. Oren returned to the elderly couples settlement and thought over what the girl had told her. Late that night just as most would be falling asleep, the couple asked to speak with Oren. They asked her about her pelt, as they spoke to her Oren could see the lies. Their sweet tones, and pleasant words could not hide the hatred in their eyes, and when the couple asked to see her pelt Oren knew the girl had been right. She refused, when the couple persisted Oren fled the tent and the camp. The couple and a few other members of the group followed her for sometime, thankfully Oren was able to keep her wits about her and eluded them long enough for them to lose interest and move on.

Oren avoided humans for sometime after that, but she knew not all creatures had such hatred and slowly she began to return to civilization. Almost immediately Orenddiel learned of a city called Tharsis and set out to find this "Land of Freedom" as it was often called. Curious as to what this city of freedom might offer her Oren set out for Tharsis.

When Oren arrived in Tharsis she put her abilities to use. Hunts provided her with meat, skins, feathers, bones and even venoms to sell. And occasionally she would craft items and jewellery out of bones and feathers and such to sell in marketplaces. It was enough to support herself and Oren enjoyed it. On occasion she has been asked to scout or track for others, to which she usually obliges. She is still curious as the reasonings behind the hatred the elderly couple she once saved, and the people they traveled with had towards her kind. She hopes to one day find the answer to that.

Oren is often protective of those in need of protection. She has something of big sister syndrome in that she can't abide seeing someone being picked on or taken advantage of. Oren is a strong believer in a fair fight and thinks it distasteful when others take advantage over someone or something else.

Though she is very protective, Oren can be harsh at times. If someone does something stupid or dangerous she'll let them know in a less than gentle manner. She can be blunt if she thinks it's in their best interest, even if it'll hurt feelings/pride. She'll watch others make mistakes because she feels that they need to learn from them, as she has in her own past experiences.

Orenddiel is not a material girl, she is very generous with possessions. She keeps only what she needs.

Orenddiel has a nomadic personality, and is something of a wanderer. If she could she would travel all over the world. She adores going on long walks, even if they have no purpose or eventual goal. She is an exceedingly fast runner, due likely in part to her active lifestyle and long legs.

Oren most often uses her long bow for hunting. She hunts only for what she needs and makes sure every part of the animal is used in some way. A speciality of hers is catching snakes, the skins she sells to venders and tradesmen, the venom is usually sold for medical purposes and the like.

Physical Description: Orenddiel is a very tall slender/willowy woman, much like her animal soul. Notably she has rather long legs, much of her height is gained from this. As she grew older she developed a few features similar to that of her soul animal. These include several large quill like feathers from the back and crown of her head, a few smaller grey feathers above her eyebrows and an orange colouring to her face (specifically around her eyes) as well as her lips. Her hair is somewhat curly, with a grey to white colouring. She is very fair skinned. And Oren has a heart shaped face with rather average features. Her eyes are large, dark brown and heavily lashed, giving her a very feminine appearance.

Clothing: Oren's attire is manly consisted of her cloak/pelt of the Secretary Bird, which she usually dons in an asymmetrical style, though it is large enough to be worn various ways. Aside from the pelt there is usually a feathered item she'll wear. The rest of her attire usually consists of close fitting, cotton or leather pants and long sleeved tops. Though she enjoys warm weather, Oren is quite modest and covers herself from head to toe. She wears several leather accessories, including several belts with various pouches to hold any variety of item she might require. She also likes wearing colourful hand crafted necklaces (usually using beads, porcupine quills, woven wheat and feathers). Due to the nature of her work, Oren opts for heavy soled tall boots and never sandals or heels. Skirts and dresses are a foreign concept to Oren.

Other: Oren tends to bottle up emotions, particularly those of deep affection as she does not know how to express them. Though you would rarely hear her speak of her feelings, she unknowingly shows affection and the like through her actions. Oren also keeps her temper in check, outbursts of anger or rage would be very rare. In company of others, especially elders Orenddiel has very polite manners. She enjoys spicy foods and heavy dishes, and dislikes sweet foods. She very much enjoys music and dance. She is not an accomplished reader, having only limited literacy due to living on her own for much of her life. Also, she does not like hats or hoods.

**Update for the timeskip: Oren has established herself in the Grasslands on the border of Tharsis. Built her self a small one room stone cabin. She frequents the city more often now, becoming a regualr at a few establishments.

I rather liked your character. I would like to see a bit more information about how she ended up in Arden, though. And also, as of right now everyone in Arden has to have their residence in Tharsis, the capital. It is because there is no other town/city rather than Tharsis, and it's really vague if you are simply living in Arden.
I however do allow players to have their character to reside on the outskirt of Tharsis. There are the options of forest, grassland and the lakefront.

Oops, my apologies I only put Arden there as a filler when I was writing the first copy of this. Guess I forgot to change it in my haste. Though now that you've mentioned the possibility of living on the outskirts of Tharsis, near the grassland sounds perfect for her.

I'm just finishing up an extended background on her as to how she arrived in Tharsis, I'll be updating this shortly with that info
