Gir, accidentally got hit with a powerful EMP and Zim is having a break down over not being able to fix him.Even if I'm not a big fan of Gir. I still think Zim needs Gir in a weird way, to keep his anxieties from reaching critical levels. The little insane robot, oddly gives Zim comfort and confidence in his lowest moments.

sorry its sketchy I worked over 20 hours in the past two days soo i'm kinda dead, but I wanted to draw this.
And yes, Zim can cry and has a few times in the show.

To anyone that can't see this happening: it is possible, because there are a lot of instances in the show in which Zim not only is patient with GIR, but takes care of him and gives into making him happy when he doesn't have to.
Zim Eats Waffles: Throughout the whole episode, Zim eats GIR's waffles even though it made him sick.
Bad, Bad Rubber Piggy: GIR tears up when Zim tells him to stop playing with the rubber pigs, and Zim changes his mind.
Hamstergeddon: Zim bonds with GIR in the middle of the episode by watching TV with him, sharing a snack, and having a casual conversation.
Tak, the Hideous New Girl: Zim says, "I already promised the moon to GIR."
Hobo 13: Zim requested some supplies from The Tallest, which included taquitos for GIR.
Walk for Your Lives: Zim gives GIR a lollipop to distract him from worrying about the destruction at the end.
Nubs of Doom (Unaired): Zim replaces GIR with a more capable sidekick (Minimoose), and when Zim explains to GIR why, he tries being delicate about it. And though he replaced him, Zim didn't mention any plan to get rid of him.
Walk of Doom: Right after Zim scolds GIR for getting them lost, GIR starts tearing up over the cupcake he ate being all gone, and Zim, thinking he was the one that made him cry, looks at him apologetically and then says, "I can see you understand your mistake, GIR, and me being angry will get us no closer to home."
Halloween Spectacular of Spooky Doom: Probably the best example there is, since Zim actually says this out loud to himself and means it. When he's trapped in an alternate dimension, he straight-up says, "I only hope poor GIR is alright by himself against those zombies."
There were probably some other scenes I forgot about or haven't noticed yet. I just wanted this piece of artwork to speak to Invader Zim fans even louder.

BONUS:
in an unaired episode (it was something called “Poonchy” or something), Zim comes home to see beef stuffed inside Gir’s costume.
And thinking that Gir turned into a beef, he started crying. Gir was however hiding behind the couch as a way of pranking him.
