Description This is something I did to enter into a contest. I tried to do approach this project in a really different way than my normal portrait type work, so I hope you guys enjoy it! It’s a bigger file, so I’d suggest looking at the full version if you can.

The title is from Cosmia by Joanna Newsom. I listened to her for the majority of this piece, so I felt it was a fitting name.

This has a nicely dark, creepy feel! There's something about the foreground mermaid's pained expression...and the fact that she's being wrapped in a jellyfish's tentacles...that probably stings a bit...
