Before Legend of Korra featured the concept of "The Dark Avatar" I came up with this concept of one existing during the time of Avatar Aang.

This Dark Avatar is not connected to the one featured in LOK or is housed by the spirit of Vaatu.

Bio: The Dark Avatar's existence is as old as the original avatar. but instead of going through a reincarnation cycle, this avatar is an immortal spirit that feeds off the dark energy of all life, it manifested itself in the form of shadow and can manipulate objects to give it a form, in this case modified Fire Nation armor.

The design is inspired by that of the Shredder from TMNT (specifically Cyber Shredder) but with a Fire nation motif to it.
