Today, internet viewers (That'd be what, 2 people?), I introduce you to my hidden passion: informing others on the virtues of critters that most people don't seem to find cute, for some bizarre reason, or haven't even heard of. I'm sorry for inflicting this speech upon you.

I like hagfish. What's not to love about a critter that has been around almost unchanged for millions of years, secretes massive amounts of slime as a defense mechanism, and eats dead things from the inside out? Plus, for a creature that lacks jaws, they have a lot of lovely sharp teeth. Meanwhile, anything that tries to take a bite out of them gets a mouthful of gill-clogging slime that has given them the nickname of "slime eel." Hagfish can even twist their body in a knot!
