Description 6x6 scratchboard colored with ampersand inks.

I like working on small boards such as these as I can finish it before I get tired of it. I will check it again tomorrow morning to see if any minor corrections needs to be done and then spray it.

I used fiberglass brush, a hobby knife and a scalpel to scratch it and used airbrush as well as normal brush to color it.

Incredible. This goes for all your work; it's beautiful and I love it. I use references like you, I'd appreciate a few tips of how you shade or blend, and what (paint?) you used to colour it... it's beautiful and magnificent. Keep going, this is amazing

For graphite and charcoal drawings I blend using a blending stump. I used to use a chamois for very smooth surface like faces, but I cannot find it anymore. The paper you use is the most important factor on how the shading works. I use bristol smooth or bristol vellum paper for most of my graphite drawings.


For coloring my scratchboards I use mostly ampersand inks. I have used acrylics and inktense pencils also in the past.

Whoo vanished there for a while, got a lot of backlog here.

This is my favorite piece of yours I've seen so far. The perspective is perfect, and I LOVE her expression! Absolutely gorgeous. The coloring is wonderful, and (I'm sure you are *so* so shocked to hear this from me) but I adore how you did her eyes, and the surrounding fur. Such vivid detail. Honestly, I really have zero criticism on this one. Gorgeous piece.
