It's rare these days I can come up with a painting that I can indulge a lot in with lots of elements I love, I think so much about comics it's hard to really get to dwell on a single snapshot for long. When I drew this picture at first last year I thought to myself IM GOING TO DRAW A TON OF FABRIC AND ORNAMENTS, then built a scenario around it to justify the picture's existence. It felt really really nice to work on this ;_;Blackbird and Veloce from my manga Carciphona

in the original series www.carciphona.com the one on the top is tasked with killing the one at the bottom. in an alternate universe fun comic that I draw tapas.io/series/au they are a couple. in this piece the one at the top is stopping the one at the bottom from killing herself

I admire the layering and texture. The clothing choice is a choice draws you but the amount of detail keeps your eyes.
