This was an incredibly fun map to draw. When I was a small child, my mom got be a book about the history seamonsters from a garage sale. Inside were countless woodcuts of grotesque creatures--"whales" that looked like wild boars covered in scales, serpents, krakens and mermaids. I loved being able to adopt those artistic styles with more realistic creatures.
