Description
Here's my most recently finished piece! Β When I first started this piece, I thought it would be something that would be fun and relatively simple in a way that I could play with the composition. Little did I realize how much I underestimated the complexity! But it also turned out much better than I anticipated, which is always a bonus.
This is by far the largest bull moose I've ever had the chance to see and photograph. We found him in Denali National Park in 2021, and this particular encounter (though it was quite far away) was glorious with the first light of morning shining on him through the trees. I really wanted to emphasize that with this piece.
I had intended on bringing this one with me to the Out West Art Show next week, but of course it wasn't finished in time. So instead I'll be submitting it to an exhibition for later this year. Let me know if you're interested in a print and I can make one for you of this piece!
